Privacy Policy
The short version. ArrowMaze keeps your progress on your own device. There is no account, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you switch on the leaderboard or choose to watch an ad. You can play the entire game without either.
What stays on your device
Your campaign progress, stars, coins, hearts, achievements, unlocked themes and every setting are stored on your device, inside the app. There is no account and no cloud sync in this version: nothing is uploaded, backed up, or visible to us.
Uninstalling the app removes them completely — there is no copy anywhere else to delete, and no way to restore them afterwards. There is currently no in-app backup or export.
Gameplay statistics
With Share anonymous gameplay stats enabled, the app counts events such as levels completed and hints used, so badly tuned levels can be spotted. These counters contain no identifiers and no free text.
In this version they are buffered on your device and never transmitted — no server receives them. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before it ships, and the setting will still be yours to switch off.
The leaderboard — optional
The leaderboard is off unless you turn on Show me on leaderboards. While it is off, nothing about you is sent, though you can still browse.
When it is on, one row is published for you, containing only:
- the display name you typed (optional — it can be anything, and defaults to "Player")
- your star, XP and perfect-clear totals
- the current week, so weekly boards can be separated
- an anonymous identifier that exists solely to keep that row yours
That identifier is generated by Firebase Anonymous Authentication. It is not linked to a Google account, an email address, a phone number, or anything else about you — it is a random string so the board updates your row rather than adding a new one each time. Turning the leaderboard off stops further updates, and uninstalling the app discards the identifier entirely. To remove a row that is already published, email us — see below.
This data is held in Google Cloud Firestore, in Google's Mumbai
(asia-south1) region.
Ads — only when you ask for one
ArrowMaze shows no banners and no interstitials. The only ads are rewarded videos you deliberately choose to watch, in exchange for a hint or extra lives. Declining costs you nothing that the game does not otherwise give you.
These are served by Google AdMob. When you watch one, Google may collect device information and advertising identifiers under its own policies, which we do not control. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Your device settings let you reset or limit your advertising ID.
Reminders
If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled by your device and fire from your device. No push service is involved, no token exists, and nothing about your play is sent in order to send them. Turn them off in your phone's notification settings at any time.
Children
ArrowMaze is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided a display name you would like removed, contact us and we will delete the row.
Your choices
- Leave the leaderboard. Turn off Show me on leaderboards in Settings.
- Erase everything. Uninstalling the app removes all local progress and discards the anonymous leaderboard identifier.
- Ask us to delete a row. Email the address below with the display name shown on the board. The deletion page spells out every step.
- Play with none of it. Every level, mode and achievement works with the leaderboard off, ads never watched, and no network at all.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to what is collected will be reflected here before the version that makes them is released.
